The wood chipper is a special equipment for the production of wood chips. The wood chipper is also called a wood slicer and is one of the series of wood processing equipment. Widely used in the preparation of textile, paper, pulp, wood-based panels and other production processes. The main cutting materials of the machine are small-diameter wood after peeling, bamboo and board materials, and the remaining materials for harvesting. However, if it is too thick (350mm or more) too thin (30mm or less) is too short (250mm or less) too thin (5mm or less) and irregular raw materials (undecomposed tree stumps, branches, etc.), it has a function of uniform cutting, or just raw materials. Overview In the 1970s, the first-time production and use of chippers in the developed countries of Northern Europe and North America was only 3 to 4 cutters. In the 1940s, a multi-blade chipper with more than 6 cutters appeared. In the 1950s, a multi-blade chipper with a new spiral face cutter was introduced, which further improved the working performance of the wood chipper. In the 1970s, the Forestry Machinery Research Institute of the Ministry of Forestry of the People's Republic of China developed a mobile joint chipper that can simultaneously complete the shaving, wood chip screening and the delivery of qualified wood chips to the loading bin or transporter, thus greatly improving the wood. The productivity of shavings.
Classification Wood chippers are available in both stationary and mobile categories. The fixed type is mostly used in factories; the mobile type is generally used in forest areas. According to the structure of the working part, the drum type chipper and the disc type chipper are divided into two types. According to the feeding mode, there are two types of oblique feeding and flat feeding.
1 drum chipper. It is mainly used for cutting branches, small-diameter wood, slabs, slats, etc. with a diameter of 120 mm or less. The cut wood chips are used as raw materials for fiberboard and pulp. The cutting mechanism is a rotating drum with a number of flying knives mounted thereon, and the wood is processed into craft wood chips when the flying knives rotate. There are a plurality of square through holes on the outer edge of the drum, which can smoothly discharge the wood chips; the feeding mechanism is composed of a feeding interface, an upper and lower feeding roller and a feeding gap adjusting mechanism, and the wood entering from the feeding interface is fed up and down. Pressed and fed to the cutting mechanism at a certain speed to control the size of the cutting chips; when processing thick wood, it is adjusted by the feed gap mechanism. After the wood chips have been screened, the larger ones have to be re-entered between the blades and the baffles (Fig. 1). The chips cut by this chipper are of lower quality.
2-disc chipper. It consists of a cutter head, a cutter, a bottom knife, a cutter blade, etc. (Fig. 2). The front side of the cutter head has a groove for mounting a cutting insert, and is arranged at a radial offset of 10 to 15 degrees. The bottom of the blade is padded with a wedge-shaped adjustment block for adjusting the amount of protrusion of the blade; the rear portion is provided with a pitch pad for adjusting the compensation length of the blade after sharpening. There is a gap in the direction of the blade on the cutter head, and the cut piece can be transferred to the other side of the cutter head. The outer edge of the cutter head is evenly arranged with the blades, and the airflow generated by the blades blows out the wood chips from the discharge port, and after screening, the large-sized enters the crusher to smash. The machine has three types of knives, multi-knife and spiral-faced knives. The first two cutting pieces have poor uniformity. The spiral-faced cutter-type chipper is in contact with the cutter head during the cutting process. The pressure is small, the wood chips are neatly cut, the wood chips are few, the cutter head wears little, the length of the cut wood chips is the same, and the qualified rate of the cutting wood chips can reach about 97%. Trends The manufacture of wood chippers in countries around the world is now focused on improving the cutting mechanism, the quality of the inserts and the method of loading to reduce the time required for sharpening and changing cards.
