Wood crusher should be installed on a solid concrete foundation or a steel base to prevent strong vibration, damage to parts and even accidents during operation.  When installing the belt transmission device, the center line of the belt pulley of the motor and the belt pulley of the wood crusher should be aligned in a vertical plane, and the two main shafts should be parallel to prevent the belt from coming off and affecting the normal transmission.

1. Hammer screen clearance.  If the gap is too large, the chances of wood being hit by hammer pieces are reduced, and the speed of circulation movement of wood on the screen surface is slow. The outer layer of the circulation layer is large-grain wood, which prevents small-grain wood from passing through the screen holes, resulting in unsmooth discharge.  The clearance is too small, although the chances of wood being hit by hammer pieces increase, the circulation layer moves too fast, and the finely divided wood is not easy to be discharged from the sieve holes, which increases the residence time of the wood in the crushing chamber, and makes the wood too fine to meet the particle size requirements.  Generally, the suitable clearance between hammer and sieve for grain wood is 4-6 mm, and that for straw is 10-14 mm.

2. Diameter of mesh.  Under the condition that the requirements of livestock and poultry and the standard requirements can be met, the larger the mesh diameter of the selected sieve piece is, the better.  The production capacity can be improved, and the finished product has uniform particles and less fine powder.

3. Wear of hammer.  When the sharp angle of the hammer piece is worn more than 1/2 of its width, it should be trimmed, turned around, or replaced with a new one.  When changing hammer pieces, the original arrangement form should not be changed at will and the number of pieces should be reduced or increased, nor should only a part be changed to make the quality difference of hammer pieces between groups too large, and the quality difference of the opposite two groups of hammer pieces should not be greater than 5g, so as not to cause imbalance and strong vibration when the machine is running.

4. When the machine grinds wood, a primary cutting device is installed at the feed inlet.  The clearance between the fixed knife and the moving knife should be 2-4 mm.

5. The drive belt shall be checked and adjusted for tightness during installation or after a period of work.  The tightness should be as high as 18-25mm by pressing the middle of the transmission belt with your hands.  The tightness adjustment of the transmission belt can be realized by changing the relative positions of the motor and the wood crusher.
