Common problems of wood chipper:

1. The bottom screen mesh of the wood chipper or the air inlet of the pipeline is partially blocked, resulting in insufficient air intake.

2. Fan blades are worn or impeller speed is too low.

3. The wood chips are too large, and the air buoyancy generated by the fan is not enough to overcome the weight of the wood chips.  Large pieces of wood chips are apt to get stuck at the bend of the air duct.

4. The raw materials are too wet, and the chips in the wood chips are easy to gradually adhere and accumulate on the inner wall of the air pipe, especially at the elbow. Especially in winter, the accumulated materials freeze, causing air pipe blockage.

5. Curvature radius of bend of wood chip conveying pipeline is too small.

Treatment method:

1) control the moisture content of the original family to ensure that the moisture content is 30-50%, and the soaked raw materials should be dried in the surface water before chipping.

2) The chipping process shall be reformed, and short sections less than 30cm shall not be used to prevent large wood chips from blocking fan blades or duct elbows.

3) the radius of curvature of the duct elbow shall be greater than or equal to three times the diameter of the duct, R>3D.

4) pay attention to check the bottom screen mesh and air inlet door for foreign body blockage.

5) If the inlet air volume is normal and the air delivery pipe is not blocked, but the feed is not delivered, check whether the fan impeller is worn and whether the fan speed is normal.

6) In the production of wood chipper, when the clear and fluent rustle of wood chips hitting the pipe wall in the air delivery pipe is not heard, or when fine pieces of wood are found to be emerging, it can be judged that the air pipe is blocked, and the outlet of the air pipe, fan and cyclone separator shall be checked in time.  Generally, the blockage of the air duct mostly occurs at the elbow, and sometimes the outlet of the cyclone separator is blocked due to the blockage of the lower branch of the vibrating screen.
